Early Scottish clothing for ladies was both practical and functional in its design. The Arisaid represents this style of garment. Like the Great Kilt, it is quite versatile, and can cover a lassie from her head to ankle, if necessary or desirable. The Arisaid unlike the Great Kilt however, is worn over another garment, such as a Leine or Chemise, and uses less material. Over the years, the 2-Piece Highland Dress naturally came into being, providing ladies with more formal wear. Today, ladies wear either of these two garments or wear a traditional Leine or Chemise, along with Scottish accessories, or wear either the traditional or modern kilt.

It's constructed using the highest quality U.S. polar fleece©, with a water resistant finish which is fully washable.
