Attaching a Penannular

First raise the brooch up and away from the pin. Then direct the pin sideways, and away from you, and gently wiggle it through the fabric( pin going between the weave, not tearing it). Scrunch the fabric as far as possible into the fixed end of the pin. Next, lower the brooch to the fabric and have it go under the pin. Then, with the pin at the outside, twist the brooch in towards the pin as far as you can. The pin should be somewhat perpendicular to the brooch. The more fabric you gather within the pin, the more secure it will be.
